Relevant Content

It goes without saying that no webpage is complete without relevant content that is informative, meaningful and very original. Unique content is something that can grasp the reader’s attention instantly and also increase traffic to your site. Always avoid using duplicate content which would badly affect the quality of search results.

Title Tags

Considered to be one of the most important factors in determining better search engine ranking for a particular keyword; title tags are responsible for getting more traffic to your website. It should be meaningful; and better still if it is limited to a maximum of 70 characters.

Meta Description

A well written Meta description also helps in better keyword ranking and enhanced traffic to your site. It includes a brief description in a crisp and meaningful manner, which should be relevant to your website. This description is used by varied search engines during their search operations.

Keyword Density

Specific and accurate keywords need to be used in the content and without enough keyword density you might not get the expected results that are actually required. But then again it should be kept in mind that the keyword density should look very realistic and not end up spamming your website. A Sitemap is a page that includes list of all other pages or links in a website and helps both search engines and users to know about the different pages in a website. It is always better to include a regular as well as XML sitemap in your website to improve navigation.

Robots.txt

Since a website uses different software for designing and development of the site; there may be certain sections which include duplicate content etc. You probably might not want search engines to crawl this data and therefore you can take help of a robots.txt file. This is a text file in the root directory which specifies the sections that can be read by search engine spiders and sections which should not be crawled.
